As we gently raise our glasses while we wave goodbye to 2022, we have some exciting projects and news to share before we do.
A Designer Destination Home
The peerless vision of Nico van der Meulen Architects, this project was one for the books! A cozy residence nestled comfortably in Sandton overlooking the dazzling city, ultimately required the opulence of full smart home automation. They called us! We jumped in. Our designers worked diligently for weeks to ensure minimal effort with maximum output; a sophisticated design edge was our priority here, with seamless control over operations. Our aim was to integrate a system that made life easy – with easy-to-navigate lighting for optimum ambience, so that dinner parties and date nights would amount to a whole new level of luxe.
Our approach was to match their modern home with a minimalistic design and still offer performance while everything was concealed. From motorized TVs descending from the ceiling, to hidden speakers in the family room, this is where technology meets design. We look forward to Phase 2, when we bring their home cinema to life. The stuff in between
And so, there’s this thing called ‘Summer Vacation’ – and we’re taking one too. The time has come to rest and recharge dear friends! Time to make space to reflect on the wins we’ve won and the challenges we’ve faced and the lessons we’ve learned along the way. Our BNC Team will be reclining for the Summer from the 15th December to 11 January 2023 – returning with gratitude for the year that was and the year that will be; we’ll be ready to tackle our next line of design with tenacity and verve – and we can’t wait to meet you on the other side. Just Ask Nick A Word From The Big Boss
It’s been a year. It’s been a year. It’s been a year. This is what I hear a lot; and it’s what I find myself saying too. A year that delivered on promise and broke its promises too. A year that won a lot and lost a lot. A year that delivered very little, and possibly, nothing much at all. But in between the stark contrast of wins and losses, hope and grief – we’ve lived. We’ve found a way to live again, to re-enter our offices, our communities and our spaces with a zest and passion for more living, more conversation, more care. The holiday season gives us an opportunity to reflect fondly on the past year: the ups and downs and the levels of luxury brought to the table. From us at BNC, we’re thankful to all our clients and partners who continue to see the value in our service and who believe in crafting beautiful spaces that lend themselves to the good times, the happy times. Yes, it’s been a year – but it’s been one that still counts. And for this, the team and I thank you.
